Foot-and-Mouth Disease(FMD) subtype O Antibody rapid test card for bovine, goat and pig
Catalog No. LSY-20090
1. Principle
This test card is based on colloidal gold immuno-chromatography technique to detect FMD subtype O Antibody in serum, plasma and whole blood of pig, bovine and goat qualitatively. When testing, FMD subtype O Ab in sample combine with antigen coated by colloid gold forming complexes, moving forward to the other head. When reaching the T-line, the specific antigen on the membrane capture the complexes and appear a T line, C line appears, means the test is valid. The T line appears, means there is FMD subtype O Ab in the sample.
2. Specifications: 40 tests/kit
3. Components
1) FMD subtype O Ab Test cassette 40 pieces
2) Dropper 40 pieces
3) Manual 1 piece
4. Operation procedures
1) Collect fresh whole blood, separate serum (centrifuge at 2000~3000r/min for 5~15min, or put it at 4℃ overnight to separate serum naturally.); or take anticoagulated whole blood as sample to test directly; It is also OK to take whole blood without anticoagulant as sample to test directly, but it must run test immediately.
2) Unseal the foil bag, take out test card, put it on clean, flat desk;
3) Use dropper to absorb the prepared sample, take 3-4 drops into well mark “S” slowly drop by drop;
4) Read the results in 10-20min at room temperature, result beyond 20 mins is invalid.
5. Results
Positive(+): Both on T Line and C line being seen red color reaction. The higher of FMD antibody titer, the darker of T line;
Weak Positive(+): Both on T Line and C line being seen red color reaction, but T line is very light;
Negative(-): no color reaction on Test Line (T Line),only on Control Line(C Line) being seen red color reaction.
Invalid: No color reaction on C Line. It means the operation is wrong or the test card is invalid.
6. Notice
1) Read the manual carefully before usage.
2) Do not use product out of expiry date or broken package.
3) Return the test card to room temperature before unsealing the package, use the test card immediately after open package to avoid moisture.
4) The samples to be tested should be fresh and clear, and avoid using contaminated turbidity, severe hemolysis, large amounts of blood lipids, and abnormally thick samples.
5) Avoid contact with the chromatography membrane at the sample well and the detection window on the test card.
6) The test waste should be regarded as a pollutant and properly treated in accordance with relevant local regulations.
Storage: Store at 2-30 ℃ in dark, sealed, dry place, no frozen.
Expiry date: 12 months; date of production is on box.
When T line is invisible, it means that there is no FMD type O antibody in the sample. If the animal is healthy, it should be vaccinated with FMD virus in a timely manner; if the corresponding acute symptoms appear, the possibility of FMD O virus infection cannot be ruled out; when a significant T line appears, the animals may have been infected with FMD type O wild virus and should be further observed and verified.
When T line appears, it indicates that the FMD type O virus antibody titer is high and has reached the level of protection against strong venom attack, meanwhile, it is less likely that livestock are infected with type O wild virus; When T line is invisible, it indicates that the FMD type O antibody titer has not reached the minimum protection titer against the attack of FMD type O virus, and it is recommended that the vaccine be replanted.
