1. Introduction

The Canine Leishmania antibody Rapid Test card (colloidal gold method) uses rapid immunochromatographic technology to detect Leishmania antibody in canine whole blood, serum and plasma qualitatively.

The test card has a test line “T” and a control line “C”, after adding sample, if the Canine Leishmania antibodies are present in the specimen, wine-red colored line will appear in the (T) Test line region. The (C) control line show normally indicating that the test is valid.

4. Sample Collection and Preparation

1) Test sample: canine whole blood, serum, plasma (do not use hemolyzed, hyperlipidemia samples).

2) The sample should be tested on the same day; if the sample can not be tested immediately should be kept refrigerated, and if it takes more than 24 hours, should be kept frozen.

3) Whole blood samples should NOT be frozen, and can be stored at 2-8°C for 3 days.

5. Test procedure

1) All reagents must be brought back to room temperature (15~30°C) before use.

2) Open the package, take out test card, put it on clean, flat desk.

3) A drop of canine blood sample (20ul for serum, 20ul for plasma, 40ul for whole blood) was pipetted vertically into the sample well using a micropipette.

4) Add 3 drops (20-25ul/drop) of Dilution Buffer into the sample well; start the timer.

5) Results are interpreted within 10-15min; results are invalidated after 15 minutes.

6. Results judgment

1) Positive: control line and test line are both seen red color; Indicates that LSH antibodies may be present in the sample. It is recommended to review the condition at a regular veterinary hospital.

2) Negative: only control line is seen wine red; Indicates that LSH antibodies may not be present in the sample. Regular testing is recommended.

3) Invalidation: control line isn’t seen wine red; Improper operation or other reasons for no results, it is recommended to re-operate according to the instructions, if the problem persists, stop using this lot immediately and contact supplier.

1) For dogs only, not for other animals.

2) This product is a one-time use product and cannot be reused.

3) Please read the instructions carefully before operation, operate according to the instructions.

4) Please confirm the integrity of the package before opening the product, and ensure that the product is within the validity period.

5) Prohibit the mixing of test cards and sample buffers of different lot numbers.

6) All samples should be handled in accordance with the potential risk of infection.

7). Please dispose of disposable medical waste in accordance with local regulations.

8. Detection limitations

1) The test results are for reference only, not as the only basis for diagnosis and treatment, should be combined with clinical symptoms or other tests to make a comprehensive judgment.

2) This product is only used for qualitative detection, and cannot indicate the antibody level in the sample.

3) Subject to the limitations of detection sensitivity, negative results may be due to the antibody concentration is lower than the detection sensitivity of the product.

9. Storage and expiry date
